All the Ways to Pay

Updated by July 06, 2011 9:14AM by Gregory Shaffer

Comcast provides several ways to pay your bill so you can choose whichever way is most convenient for you.

You can pay by mail using the payment coupon from your bill, over the phone by calling 1-800-COMCAST, online in Customer Central or in person at a Comcast Service Center.

We accept most major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover, as well as checks, cash, money order and automatic debit from your checking account.

Important: For any online payments, you'll need to register a Comcast ID in Customer Central if you haven't already done so. Also note that you can only pay online using your primary Comcast ID.

How to make a one-time payment online

  • Click the Account & Bill tab in Customer Central.
  • Sign in with your primary Comcast ID if you aren't already signed in.
  • If prompted to do so, review the terms and conditions and choose Agree.
  • Click the Make one-time payment button in the Billing Summary section.
  • In the Make one-time payment screen, choose your payment method, fill out the form and click Next.
  • Review your payment information and click Submit payment.

How to set up automatic monthly payments

  • Click the Account & Bill tab in Customer Central.
  • Sign in with your primary Comcast ID if you aren't already signed in.
  • Click the Set up automatic payments button in the Billing Summary section.
  • In the Set up automatic monthly payments screen, choose your payment method, fill out the form and click Next.
  • Accept the terms and conditions and click Enroll

Note that automatic payments will not take effect for 30-45 business days after Comcast receives your account information in order to properly validate your bank account information. Also note that you can still receive a monthly bill even if you have automatic payments (details here).

Please see Changing your payment method for automatic monthly payments if you need to change or cancel your existing automatic payment settings.

How to pay more than a month in advance

If you pay more than the current amount due, you will simply receive a credit on your account that will be applied toward future billing statements.
