Introduction

Change Primary user in My Account allows customers to make a Secondary account their new Primary account. The old primary account will become a secondary account and will lose:

  • The ability to create and manage secondary accounts
  • The ability to manage some product features
  • Access to online voicemail until the new primary account reinstates access (if the customer has Voice)

To change a secondary user to the primary user:

  1. Sign in to My Account as the primary user.
  2. Click the Users & Preferences tab.
  3. Under Basic Settings, under the Contact emails section, Click on Transfer primary user.
  4. A new screen will appear with a Transfer to drop-down box.
  5. Click the Transfer to drop-down to select the secondary account you want to make the primary.
  6. Enter the password for the selected secondary user.
  7. Click Confirm.
  8. A confirmation message will be displayed at the top of the screen.
