Support Settings Manage Your Alerts from My Account

Introduction

Need to change your email address or the mobile number you receive your Comcast alerts on, or the types of alerts you receive? You can change your alert preferences anytime online or with your mobile device.

View and Manage All Alerts

View the Recent Activity section located on the Overview page of My Account to see all your alerts.
Alerts are displayed in the Recent Activity section, halfway down the right side of the screen.

After selecting to view the alerts detail, click on the alert you wish to read. You can then either return to the list by clicking Close or remove the alert from the list by clicking Delete. After a message is read, it will no longer display as bold and the number of unread alerts will decrease.
Account Activity screen displays details about the selected alert. The Delete and Close buttons appear at the bottom of the screen.

Manage Text and/or Email Alerts in Users & Preferences

Note: If you want to set up Comcast text alerts, you'll first need to register your mobile device in My Account.  See Using Text Commands to Receive Account Information for more details.

Change Your Text Message or Email Alert Settings Online

  1. Sign in to My Account.
  2. Click Users & Preferences.
  3. In the Manage your alerts box, you can check or uncheck the boxes to set your email and text alerts.
    Manage Your Alerts box displays checkboxes down the right hand side for setting email and text alerts.
     
  4. Click the yellow Save button.

Change the Email Address You Use for Alerts

You can use any email address to receive alerts.
  1. Sign in to My Account.
  2. Click Users & Preferences.
  3. Click the Add or edit contact information link below your Contact Email address.
  4. Enter and confirm the new email address and click Save Changes.
  5. We’ll send you an email so you can confirm the change to your email address. Click the link in the email to complete the change.

Note: While secondary users with account management rights will be able to make changes to the account, confirmations will go to the email address the primary account holder chooses.

To stop all text alerts, simply text STOP to 266278 (COMCST).

Manage Your Alerts on a Mobile Device

You can also manage your alerts in My Account on your mobile device. Simply sign in to My Account and select Manage alerts.
Alert types are listed vertically. Checkboxes for receiving the alerts appear to the right of each.

Note: You will not be able to select a text alert until you provide a mobile number on the account and it is successfully activated. You can provide a mobile number by selecting the Get text alerts button.
