Support Settings Set Up Comcast Text Alerts From My Account

Introduction

Set up Mobile Alerts

In order to receive text or email alerts, you’ll need to register your mobile device in My Account. Here’s how:

  1. Log in to My Account.
  2. On your computer or laptop, click on the Users & Preferences tab. For mobile devices, tap Users & Preferences.
  3. On your computer or laptop, in the Manage your alerts box, enter your phone number in the blank box and click Get text alerts. For mobile devices, tap on Manage your alerts and then enter your phone number on the next screen.
    At the bottom of the screen is a field for entering your mobile phone number to receive text alerts. The yellow Get text alerts button is to the right of the field.
     
  4. A confirmation message will appear indicating that an activation code has been sent to your mobile phone. Check your mobile phone for a text message from 266-278 (COMCST):
    A text message provides a code and a link to enter the code and complete registration.
     
  5. On your computer or laptop, enter the activation code in the blank box and click Submit. On mobile devices, tap the link in the text message and enter the activation code.

    Computer or laptop:
    The computer or laptop screen contains a field at the bottom for entering the activation code. The Submit button is to the right of the field.

    Mobile devices:
    At the center of the mobile device screen is a field for entering the activation code. The Submit button is below the field.
     
  6. Click in the check-box of each type of alerts you wish to receive. Then click Save preferences.
    The Set your text alerts screen displays check boxes down the left side for choosing to receive various alerts. The Save preferences button is at the lower right.
     
  7. A confirmation message appears at the top of your My Account screen indicating that you have registered to receive text alerts.
    The My Account screen displays a message confirming that you have registered to receive text alerts.
     
  8. You may elect to not receive certain text alerts at any time by un-checking corresponding box in the Manage your alerts section and then clicking Save

Register Additional Mobile Phone Numbers to Receive Comcast Alerts

To add more mobile phone numbers to receive text alerts about your account, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to My Account.
  2. Click the Users & Preferences tab.
  3. Choose an existing secondary user account.
  4. Click the option to manage alerts for the user (Manage [username's] alerts)
  5. Click Register a mobile phone number.
  6. Follow the set-up process to register a mobile number.
