Support Settings Manage Your Comcast Email

Introduction

As a Comcast customer, you can manage the email address where you would like to receive account alerts and communications. This can be your comcast.net email or another email address you provide (i.e. Gmail, Yahoo, etc.).

Note: Beginning in late September 2013, existing XFINITY Voice customers who registered their alternate email address before January 2013 will be notified that they will be able to use their non-Comcast email address to log into their Comcast account. They will also be reminded that they can manage their alternate and preferred email address via My Account. While secondary users with account management rights will also be able to log in using their own alternate email address, notifications will only go out to the primary user’s preferred contact address. This new login capability will be fully available for customers across the Comcast footprint by mid-November 2013.

Follow these simple steps to manage your Comcast email settings:

  1. Sign into My Account.
  2. Click the Users & Preferences tab at the top of the page.
  3. View the Contact emails section.

Adding Another Email Address

You can add another email address (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) to your Comcast account:

  1. View the Contact emails section on Users & Preferences in My Account.
  2. Click the link to add an alternate email address.
  3. Enter the address and click Save.
  4. Visit the email address you added and click on the link in the confirmation email sent by Comcast.
  5. Log in to My Account to confirm your email address.

Setting the Preferred Email Address

Follow these steps to set which email is used for alerts and communications about your account:

  1. View the Contact emails section on Users & Preferences in My Account.
  2. The Preferred Contact label indicates the address to which email communications are sent.
  3. Click Set as Preferred if you would like to change to the other email address.
You can add one alternate email to your account. You can edit this email by clicking on the Edit link.

Changing an Alternate Email Address

You can edit the alternate email address associated with your Comcast account:

  1. View the Contact emails section on Users & Preferences in My Account.
  2. Click Edit next to the alternate email address.
  3. Enter a new email address, confirm it and then click Save.
  4. Visit the email address you added and click on the link in the confirmation email sent by Comcast.
  5. Log in to My Account to confirm your email address.

Deleting an Alternate Email Address

You can delete an alternate email address (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) associated with your Comcast account:

  1. View the Contact emails section on Users & Preferences in My Account.
  2. Click Delete next to the alternate email address you wish to remove.
  3. Click Yes, delete it on the message presented.
  4. A confirmation screen will appear once it has been successfully deleted.
Note: Every six months, My Account will ask users to either enter an alternate email if they have not yet done so, or to verify the alternate email associated with their account.
