What you need for 3D programming
To see shows and events filmed in high-definition (HD) 3D, you need a specific digital video cable box. We offer several of these cable boxes. If the HD cable box in your home is included in this list of cable boxes, you don’t need to update your device.
You also must have 3D glasses that work with your particular television. If you have prescription glasses, you should wear the 3D glasses over top of your prescription pair. Most new 3D TVs will come with a pair (or more) of glasses. You can purchase additional glasses if you need to – check with the electronics retailer to see where to purchase additional glasses and pricing information.
TiVo series 3 and Premiere HD/DVRs currently support the HD 3D format. For that reason, if you have a TiVo receiver, you will be able to access 3D programming. You need to contact us to have 3D access enabled on your account.
