Introduction
Having trouble with DVR Manager? Here are fixes for some common issues.
If you can't activate DVR Manager on xfinity.com:
- DVR Manager may not be available in your area yet. To find out if DVR Manager is available in your area:
- Access www.xfinitytv.comcast.net/mytv/dvr
- Click Sign In and enter your Comcast ID and password.
- Click Check Availability.
- Enter your ZIP code and click Search. (Note: you may need to select the appropriate channel lineup)
- If your ZIP code is eligible you will be prompted through the activation steps.
- If your ZIP code is not eligible a message will display indicating the service is not available. If this is the case, we're sorry for the inconvenience. We're introducing this feature on an area-by-area basis and you shouldn't have to wait long. We'll send you an announcement when DVR Manager launches in your area, so watch your comcast.net email or the website for news.
- If DVR Manager is available in your area and you're still having trouble, double-check that your browser is compatible and your DVR is included on your billing account. After you've made any necessary updates, try activating DVR Manager again.
- If you continue to have problems after completing the steps above, please contact us on our Help & Support Forums.
Go to DVR Manager.
If you get an error message when trying to activate DVR Manager in the XFINITY mobile or TV app:
- DVR Manager may not be available in your area yet. Please refer to the steps above to find out if your area is eligible for DVR Manager.
- You may not be subscribed to Comcast DVR service with the latest guide update.
- If DVR Manager is available in your area and you're still having trouble, double-check that your browser is compatible and your DVR is included on your billing account. After you've made any necessary updates, try activating DVR Manager again.

Go to DVR Manager.
If you can't sign in to DVR Manager using your Comcast ID:
Try resetting your password.
Note: If you exchange your DVR, you don’t need to do anything to register your new DVR. Once you log in, your new DVR should be listed in the DVR Manager.
