Support XFINITY TV X1: Voicemail App - Access

Introduction

This article gives details on how to access XFINITY voicemail using the Voicemail App with the XFINITY on the X1 Entertainment Operating System.

Note: This app is not available on the RNG150 (non-DVR set-top-box).

Access and Use the Voicemail App

To successfully access and manage voicemail using the Voicemail App you will need to know your Primary Comcast ID password. Click for more instructions on how to Find Your Comcast ID and Password.

  1. Press the xfinity button on your remote control.
  2. Using the right arrow button, scroll over to highlight Apps. Press the OK button.
    X1 main menu.  The Apps option is the fifth option from the left.
     
  3. Using the arrow buttons, scroll to highlight the Voicemail App.

  4. You will see a Primary Voicemail Access message indicating that only the primary user can access this app. Press the OK button to continue.
  5. A prompt will appear to enter the Primary User Access PIN, which is the first 4 characters of the primary users' Comcast ID password. Enter this using the keypad on the remote control. (For example, if the password is "Happy," enter 4277.)
  6. A list of all available voicemail recordings will appear. Using the down arrow button, scroll to highlight a voicemail message. Press the OK button.

  7. Highlight the option Play, Read Message or Delete. Press the OK button to execute the chosen option and follow the on-screen instructions (where applicable).

    Confirmation message that displays when the delete icon is chosen.  It reads "Are you sure you want to delete this voicemail?" followed by the option to choose Delete or Cancel.  Use the arrow buttons on the remote to choose and then press OK.

    Voicemail app when all voicemails have been deleted.  Screen reads "No Voicemail" and includes a Back option.  Press OK on the remote to go back to the previous screen.
     
  8. Press Exit once to return to the Apps menu, or press Exit twice to return to standard TV viewing.

    Note: Help videos are not available when using the Voicemail app for X1 on an Xi3 set-top box.
