Introduction

General user code information to access your XFINITY Home system.

Note: This FAQ is for customers in the Houston, Texas area who purchased XFINITY Home prior to November 16, 2011. If you are a customer outside of the Houston, Texas area or purchased XFINITY Home after November 16, 2011, please click here.

To take certain actions with the Touch Screen Controller, you must enter an access code.  These access codes are the same codes that you use on other parts of your security system such as the Wireless Keypad.  The Touch Screen Controller supports two types of access codes:

  • Master Code: The main access code for your security panel.  This code is required for disarming the side, and for adding and deleting other access codes and changing certain settings.
  • User Codes: Up to eight access codes for additional users.  These codes arm and disarm the security panel but they do not allow the entire system to be disabled or allow access for changes to be made to access codes.  Generally, you can give these codes to family members and service workers.
