Introduction

Use your TouchScreen or subscriber portal to add, edit or delete user keypad codes in your XFINITY Home system.



Note: This FAQ is for all XFINITY Home customers. However, if you live in the Houston, Texas, area and you purchased XFINITY Home prior to November 16, 2011, please see XFINITY Home for customers in the Houston, Texas area installed before November 16, 2011.

Add a Keypad Code from the TouchScreen

  1. From the Home screen, select the Settings widget. 
    The Settings widget appears fourth from left in top row.
     
  2. Under Categories, select Security, then select Manage Keypad Codes.
    Security and manage keypad codes options are selected.
     
  3. When the list of users appears, select Add Keycode.
    The add keycode button is selected on the manage keypad codes screen.
     
  4. Fill in the Name, 4-Digit code, Level and Active Days and click Save.

Edit or Delete a Keypad Code Using the TouchScreen

  1. From the Home screen, select the Settings widget.
    The Settings widget appears fourth from left in top row.
     
  2. Under Categories, select Security, then select Manage Keypad Codes.
    Security and manage keypad codes options are selected.
     
  3. When the list of users appears, click Edit next to the code you want to edit or delete.
    The codes are listed top to bottom; each one has an Edit button to the right.
     
  4. Make your changes and click Save.

Add a Keypad Code from the Subscriber Portal

  1. From the Security drop-down menu, select Key Pad Codes.  
    • The Keypad Access Codes section displays active user’s Name, Level and Valid Days.
  2. When the user list appears, click ADD ACCESS CODE.
    • Note: The Master code is required and cannot be deleted, only edited.

  3. Enter your master code and click OK.

  4. Fill in the Name, Four-Digit Access Code, Level (the available levels are Standard, Guest and Arm only), Valid Days and click SAVE to save changes or CANCEL to exit without saving.

Delete a Keypad Code from the Subscriber Portal

  1. From the Security drop-down menu, select Key Pad Codes.
    • The Keypad Access Codes section displays active user’s Name, Level and Valid Days.
  2. When the user list appears, click on the Trash icon to the right of the code you wish to delete.

  3. Enter the keypad master code and click OK to proceed or CANCEL to exit.

  4. A confirmation message will appear. Select YES or NO.
    Message asks user to confirm code deletion.

Edit a Keypad Code from the Subscriber Portal

  1. From the Security drop-down menu, select Key Pad Codes.
    • The Keypad Access Codes section displays active user’s Name, Level and Valid Days.
  2. When the user list appears, select the Pencil icon next to the keypad code you want to change.
    Keypad codes are listed top to bottom with edit and delete icons to the right of each.
     
  3. Enter the keypad master code and click OK to proceed or CANCEL to exit.

  4. Make your changes and click SAVE.

Types of Keypad Codes

  • Master: You can create, edit, and delete keypad codes, as well as arm and disarm the system. You will have full access to view and change TouchScreen settings. System can only have one (1) master keypad code.
  • Duress: You can arm/disarm system. Use of this code to disarm system will send a silent alarm to central monitoring station, which dispatches the police. You can’t access TouchScreen settings. You can only have one (1) duress code.
  • Standard: You can arm and disarm the system. You can access TouchScreen settings, but can’t make any changes.
  • Guest: You can arm and disarm the system. You can’t access TouchScreen settings.
  • Arm Only: You can arm the system only.
