Introduction

Use your Touch Screen or subscriber portal to add, edit, or delete user keypad codes in your XFINITY Home system.

 

Note: This FAQ is for all XFINITY Home customers. However, if you live in the Houston, Texas area and you purchased XFINITY Home prior to 11/16/11, please click here.

 

Manage keypad codes with XFINITY Home from the Touch Screen or Subscriber Portal


To add a keypad code from the Touch Screen


Step 1

From the Home screen, select the Settings widget. 

Step 2

Under Categories, select Security, then select Manage Keypad Codes

Step 3

When the list of users appears, select Add Keycode

Step 4

Fill in the Name, 4-Digit code, Level, and Active Days and click Save.  

To edit or delete a keypad code using the Touch Screen


Step 1

From the Home screen, select the Settings widget. 

Step 2

Under Categories, select Security, then select Manage Keypad Codes.

Step 3

When the list of users appears, click Edit next to the code you want to edit or delete. 

Step 4

Make your changes and click Save

To add a keypad code from the Subscriber Portal


Step 1

From the Security drop down, select Key Pad Codes

Step 2

When the user list appears, click Add Access Code.

Step 3

Enter your master code and click OK.

Step 4

Fill in the Name, 4-Digit code, Level, and Active Days and click Save. 

To delete a keypad code from the Subscriber Portal


Step 1

From the Security drop down, select Key Pad Codes.

Step 2

When the user list appears, click on the Trash icon to the right of the code you wish to delete.

Step 3

A confirmation message will appear. Select Yes or No.

To edit a keypad code from the Subscriber Portal


Step 1

From the Security drop down, select Key Pad Codes.

Step 2

When the user list appears, select the Pencil icon next to the keypad code you want to change.

Make your changes and click Save.

Types of Keypad Codes

Keypad Code Type Description
Master User can create, edit, and delete keypad codes, as well as arm and disarm the system.  User will have full access to view and change Touchscreen settings.  System can only have one (1) master keypad code.
Duress User can arm/disarm system.  Use of this code to disarm system will send a silent alarm to central monitoring station, which dispatches the police.  User can’t access Touchscreen settings.  User can only have one (1) duress code.
Standard User can arm and disarm the system.  User can access Touchscreen settings, but can’t make any changes.
Guest User can arm and disarm the system.  User can’t access Touchscreen settings.
Arm Only User can arm the system only.
