User permit Information:
Certain municipalities require home security system users to obtain an alarm registration / user permit. It is your responsibility to comply with these requirements. If you fail to do so, the municipality could delay or refuse to dispatch emergency personnel and/or assess you fines.
As a courtesy, we have compiled the requirements for some areas that require an alarm registration / user permit through the links below. This list is not exhaustive and you should confirm registration requirements with your municipality.
You may be asked by your municipality to provide specific details about Comcast and/or the Central Monitoring Station. The information is as follows:

Once you receive your permit (where required), please follow these steps:
- Log in to the subscriber portal at www.xfinity.com/xhsportal.
- Go to the Security menu.
- Select Emergency Dispatch Setup
- Enter your permit number along with the expiration date at the bottom of the page.

When purchasing XFINITY Home, some municipalities may require you to obtain a user permit. If your user permit requires Comcast’s state license information, or our Central Monitoring Station’s state license information, you can use the table below to reference what those appropriate numbers are for your state.
