Introduction

The TV shows and movies (free to rent or purchase) on XFINITY TV are provided under licensing rules that can limit where and the amount of time we offer programming online at XFINITY TV Go, XFINITY On Demand and on mobile devices through our XFINITY apps.

Our content team is constantly working to bring you a wider selection of TV shows and movies. We add new content daily, but due to licensing agreements, we may not have every movie, show or episode available for viewing.

Some programs that we are allowed to show On Demand by the content owners may not be allowed online at XFINITY TV Go or on mobile devices through our XFINITY apps.

Why are CW shows not being added the day after they air online?
CW has imposed restrictions regarding when users may view their current content online. As a result, XFINITY TV Go users will have to wait eight days after a CW program has aired on the television network before they can watch such program on XFINITY TV Go.

Why is CW available On Demand or online but not on mobile devices?
Due to restrictions imposed by CW, the television network’s programming is only allowed On Demand, online at XFINITY TV Go and is not available on mobile devices through our XFINITY apps.

Why does Comcast charge me to watch some programs on XFINITY On Demand, but the same programs are free online at XFINITY TV Go or on mobile devices through the XFINITY apps?
Each content provider decides which programs are offered to customers free of charge, whether online or on TV. Some programs may carry a minimal fee on television but be free online or on mobile devices. In addition, some programs may be shown earlier online or on mobile devices than they are on television. This is based on the individual content provider decision.

Why isn't a movie or TV show available to watch online or on mobile devices?
Our content team is constantly working to bring you a wider selection of TV shows and movies. We add new content daily, but due to licensing agreements, we may not have every movie, show, or episode available for viewing.

Why are there advertisements during online videos?
To have the rights to put most shows online or on mobile devices, we are required by the owners of those shows to put in ads. In many cases, you will notice that shows watched on TV have many more commercials than the same show we play online. Some of our premium partners like HBO, Showtime, Encore, Cinemax and Starz are ad-free so you can watch their shows and movies without interruption.

Why is some content only available for purchase and not available for rental?
Titles are often available for purchase before they are available for rent or on DVD. Availability of titles for purchase or for rental on XFINITY On Demand is subject to content agreements.
