Support XFINITY Internet XFINITY Internet and XFINITY Voice Approved Devices

Introduction

Be sure you’re using an approved XFINITY Internet or XFINITY Voice device.

Check for Approved XFINITY Internet and XFINITY Voice Devices

Use the DOCSIS Device Information Center to easily check that your device is approved for XFINITY Internet or XFINITY Voice services. The DOCSIS Device Information Center provides a list of all currently approved cable modems. You can also use this site to ensure your device is compatible with the service level you subscribe to.

Note: In order for the device to work with your XFINITY Voice service, the device type has to be an eMTA. To tell if your device is an eMTA device:

  1. Go to the DOCSIS Device Information Center.
  2. Click on your device.
  3. Under Device Details, eMTA should be listed as the Device Type as the following example indicates:
    An example image of an approved Internet modem device is shown.  The Device Details lists the Make, Model, Retail status (yes/no), Device Type, DOCSIS version, whether or not the device is End of Life, and the modem certification status.
