Introduction

All the details and information you need to get started with our Text Messaging service.

What you need to know to get started

  • You must be an XFINITY Voice residential customer

  • You will need to have an eligible smartphone, device (iPad, tablet, etc.) or PC and be the primary account holder
    • Currently, we are not able to support:
      • BlackBerry devices
      • Secondary user accounts

  • Once you have completed the download:
    • Go to the Messages section of the XFINITY Mobile app and then go to the Text tab.
      Follow the onscreen instructions for activating the feature.
    • Text Messaging is included at no additional charge for all XFINITY Voice subscribers until May 31, 2012. Beginning June 1, 2012, Text Messaging will remain free for Unlimited Voice customers, while Local with More Voice customers will incur a charge of $2.95 per month.
