Support XFINITY Voice XFINITY Voice Features: Call Forwarding

Introduction

Forward all incoming calls to another phone number with Call Forwarding, or designate certain incoming phone numbers to be forwarded with Selective Call Forwarding.

How you forward calls depends on your Comcast subscription, but in general you can use your home phone or go online.

Note:

  • For Call Forwarding and Selective Call Forwarding, enter 1 plus the area code if it is necessary to call the "forward to" number.
  • When you create a Selective Forwarding list, enter the area code plus the 7-digit number for all numbers (both local and long-distance).

Here's How to Forward All Calls to Another Number:


Activate Call Forwarding From Your Home Telephone

  1. Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
  2. Dial *72 and wait to hear the dial tone again.
  3. Dial the number where you'd like to have your calls forwarded.
  4. One of two confirmation events will occur:
    • A courtesy call will be placed to the number.  If the party answers, the feature is activated. If the number is busy or no one answers, repeat steps 1-3 within 2 minutes, and you will hear a confirmation tone that the feature has been activated.
    • Or, you will hear a confirmation that the feature has been activated.
  5. If you want to change the "forward to" number, just repeat steps 1-3.

Deactivate Call Forwarding From Your Home Telephone

  1. Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
  2. Press *73.
  3. You will hear a confirmation message that Call Forwarding has been deactivated.

Activate Call Forwarding Online if You Have XFINITY Voice Only:

  1. Go to XFINITY Connect.
  2. Select the Voice & Text icon.
  3. Sign in using your XFINITY Voice telephone number and voicemail password.
  4. You will see a message about XFINITY Connect.
  5. Click Register to register your Comcast ID. This will allow you to access your voice account through XFINITY Connect.
    • Note: If you do not click Register, you will be redirected to the registration page automatically.
  6. Go to the Preferences tab, select Call Manager, then Call Forwarding.
  7. Click the phone number you want calls forwarded from.
  8. Check the Call Forwarding box.
  9. Enter the telephone number where you want your calls forwarded to.
  10. Click Save.

Activate Call Forwarding Online if You Have Both XFINITY Voice and XFINITY Internet:

  1. Go to XFINITY Connect.
  2. Select the Email icon.
  3. Enter your primary Comcast ID and password.
  4. Go to the Preferences tab.
  5. Select Call Manager.
  6. Select Call Forwarding.
  7. Click the phone number you want calls forwarded from.
  8. Check the Call Forwarding box.
  9. Enter the telephone number where you want your calls forwarded to.
  10. Click Save.

Here's How to Forward Only Certain Calls to Another Number:

From Your Home Telephone

To activate Selective Call Forwarding:
  1. Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
  2. Press *63.
  3. A menu will guide you through this feature.
To deactivate Selective Call Forwarding:
  1. Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
  2. Press *83.
  3. When prompted, press 3 to turn the feature off.

Through XFINITY Connect - for Customers with Both XFINITY Voice and XFINITY Internet

  1. Go to XFINITY Connect.
  2. Select the Email icon.
  3. Enter your primary Comcast ID and password.
  4. Go to the Preferences tab.
  5. Select Call Manager.
  6. Select Call Forwarding.
  7. Check the Selective Forwarding box.
  8. Click the Add button.
  9. Enter the telephone numbers you want forwarded.
  10. Click the Add button again.
  11. Enter the number where you want your calls forwarded to.
  12. Click Save.
