Introduction
The National Do Not Call Registry gives you an opportunity to limit the telemarketing calls you receive and was created to offer consumers a choice regarding these sales calls. Once you register your phone number, telemarketers covered by the National Do Not Call Registry have up to 31 days from the date you register to stop calling you.
How to register:
To add your phone number to the National Do Not Call Registry, go to https://www.donotcall.gov or call 1-888-382-1222 (TTY 1-866-290-4236) toll-free from the phone you wish to register. Registration is free. The Registry is managed by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency. It is enforced by the FTC, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and state law enforcement officials.
Please Note: Placing your number on the National Do Not Call Registry will stop most telemarketing calls, but not all. Because of limitations in the jurisdiction of the FTC and FCC, calls from or on behalf of political organizations, charities and telephone surveyors would still be permitted, as would calls from companies with which you have an existing business relationship, or those to whom you've provided express agreement to receive their calls. However, if you ask a company with which you have an existing business relationship to place your number on its own do-not-call list, it must honor your request. You should keep a record of the date you make the request.
If you would like to add your phone number to Comcast’s Do Not Call List, click here. Please be aware it is possible you might still receive a sales call within 30 days after making the request. After that, we will not call you with special offers or information about new products. If you are a current Comcast customer, you may still receive other phone calls from Comcast with information or notifications regarding services to which you currently subscribe.
