Support XFINITY Apps XFINITY TV Remote App Eligible Set-Top Boxes

Introduction

With the XFINITY TV Remote app, you can use Apple and Android devices as a remote control: change the channel, program your DVR or search XFINITY On Demand and TV listings – all with a simple tap on the screen. Your TV is now right in your hands.

Eligible Set-Top Boxes

The remote features of the XFINITY TV Remote app will work with most Comcast set-top boxes. XFINITY on the X1 Entertainment Operating System set-top boxes are now supported. Please note: Scientific Atlanta/Cisco set-top boxes are eligible to work with the XFINITY TV Remote app in several markets; we are working to add all markets in the near future.

When you download and log into the XFINITY TV Remote app on your mobile device, you’ll see a list of the eligible set top boxes in your home. Simply select the set-top box you want to control and use your mobile device to change the channel, set a DVR recording and more.

The following set-top boxes do not support the remote features of the XFINITY TV Remote app:

  • Digital Transport Adapters (DTA)
  • Motorola DCT 1000
  • Motorola DCT 1200
  • Motorola DCT 1700
  • Pace 510
  • Pace 511
  • Pace 550
  • Pace 551
  • Panasonic set-top boxes
  • Samsung set-top boxes
