Learn how to use the XFINITY TV Remote app on your Windows 8 mobile phone to change channels on your TV, schedule DVR recordings, browse the XFINITY On Demand library and more.
To begin using the XFINITY TV Remote app, you will need to sign in with your Comcast user name and password.
After you have signed in, you will be directed to the Welcome Screen and asked to choose which set-top box you would like to control. After you make your selection, you will reach the Main Menu.
Note: If you have not named any of your set-top boxes or DVRs, you can do so by going to Settings -> TV Settings.
Once you tap on TV Listings in the Main Menu, you can view full channel listings for the current time, or you can swipe left or right to view by filter (Kids, Sports, etc).
You can also view future programs by swiping or tapping on the current time.
By tapping on a program in the TV Listings page, you will be able to record either the episode or the recurring series.
From the DVR Menu, you can view both your scheduled and your completed recordings.
XFINITY On Demand Listings
In the XFINITY On Demand menu, you will be able to view the movies and TV shows available on your set-top box, as well as choose content by genre, price, and other filters. You can also search by title, or purchase XFINITY On Demand content through the XFINITY TV Remote app to watch via your set-top box.
