Introduction

A primary account has full administrative access to a Comcast account, and controls how much the secondary accounts can see and do.

Differences between primary and secondary accounts

The primary user/account is the account administrator. They have full access to the account’s features and settings and can create, delete or suspend secondary accounts.

Secondary accounts can be designated unrestricted or restricted. An unrestricted secondary account has full access to all the account features. A restricted secondary account does not.

Features access depends on how you sign in

If you have XFINITY Internet, sign in to My Account with your Comcast email address and password for full access to your account and billing features and XFINITY Internet settings. If you use a non-Comcast email address to sign in, you will have full access to the account and billing features, but not your XFINITY Internet settings.

If you don’t have XFINITY Internet, you can sign in to My Account with a Comcast ID. You'll have full access to your account and billing features and personal information management.
