Support XFINITY TV Troubleshooting Common X1 Platform from XFINITY Error Codes

Introduction

We are sorry you are experiencing an issue with your X1 Platform from XFINITY service. Please try the troubleshooting steps below if your X1 Player (set-top box) displays a message with an error code. If the error you are receiving is not listed below or if these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, please contact us.

Notes:

  • The Player and Player Mini are set-top boxes supported by the X1 Platform.
  • A Player is a device with a hard drive (DVR). 
  • A Player Mini does not have a hard drive and is dependent on a Player for its video.

Cause and Troubleshooting Steps

These error codes are caused by the Player not being able to connect to the XFINITY TV service during startup.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:
  1. Ensure cable connections are tightly secured.
  2. Unplug Player from electrical outlet.
  3. Wait 10 seconds, then plug back in to restart.

  • RDK-03010
  • RDK-03011
  • RDK-03012

Cause and Troubleshooting Steps:
These errors are caused by the Player or Player Mini experiencing a problem with its firmware from which it can’t recover.

Unfortunately, there are no troubleshooting steps for this issue. Please contact us.

Error Codes:

  • RDK-03030
  • RDK-03033

Cause and Troubleshooting Steps:

These error codes are caused by the Player or Player Mini being unable to connect to the XFINITY TV service, or may also be due to an Internet outage.

Please try your action again after a few minutes.

If this issue persists please try the following:
  1. Ensure cable connections are tightly secured.
  2. Unplug Player Mini from electrical outlet.
  3. Wait 10 seconds, then plug back in to restart.

Error Codes:

  • RDK-03031
  • RDK-03032

Cause and Troubleshooting Steps:
These errors are caused by the Player or Player Mini being unable to connect to the XFINITY TV service, or may also be due to a server outage.

Server outages rarely occur but when they do our operation center is notified immediately and our engineers are called into action to restore service as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Please try your action again after a few minutes.

Error Codes:

  • RDK-03036
  • RDK-03053

Cause and Troubleshooting Steps:
The Player Mini is unable to connect to the XFINITY TV service, which may be due to an in-home networking issue.

Try the following steps, checking after each step to see if it has fixed the issue.
  1. Ensure coaxial cable connections are tightly secured for your Player and Player Mini.
  2. Unplug the Player from the electrical outlet, wait 10 seconds, and plug back in to restart.
  3. Unplug the Player Mini from the electrical outlet, wait 10 seconds, and plug back in to restart.
     

Error Code:

  • RDK-03060

Cause and Troubleshooting Steps:
The HDMI configuration is preventing video from playing. Please see High Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) Capable Devices for more information and troubleshooting steps.
