Support XFINITY Apps Download the XFINITY X1 Remote app

Introduction

With the XFINITY X1 Remote app you can navigate the X1 Platform from XFINITY guide with your Apple or Android mobile device. This article contains additional information on how to download the XFINITY X1 Remote app.

Download and Provisioning Process - Apple

  1. To download the application, you will be asked to enter your Apple ID and password. If you need assistance with your Apple ID or your Apple device, please visit www.apple.com and/or contact Apple.

  2. Once the application is downloaded, you will need to enter your Comcast ID and password. If you are already signed into another XFINITY app on your device, you will automatically be signed into the XFINITY X1 Remote app.
    • If you need assistance with or forget your Comcast ID and/or password, go to www.mycomcastid.com/.
    • Note: You must be connected to the Internet to operate the XFINITY X1 Remote app. If you do not have Internet connectivity, you will receive a Network Unavailable error message.
  3. After logging into the app, all of the X1 Platform set-top boxes on the account will be detected and will be displayed on your Apple device. You will need to select the set-top box you wish to control with the XFINITY X1 Remote app.
  4. Once the set-top box is selected, the screen will shift to the remote control navigation screen.

  5. If an X1 Platform set-top box is not detected, you will receive an error message stating that "No X1 cable boxes were found" and can choose to Search Again. If you do not have an X1 Platform set-top box or one has not been detected, you will be prompted to download the XFINITY TV Remote app.

  1. To download the application, you will be asked to enter your Google Account ID and password. If you need assistance with your Google ID or your Android device, please visit https://www.google.com/accounts/recovery/verifyuser and/or contact Google.
  2. Once the application is downloaded, you will need to enter your Comcast ID and password. If you are already signed into another XFINITY app on your device, you will automatically be signed into the XFINITY X1 Remote app.
    • If you need assistance with or forget your Comcast ID and/or password, go to www.mycomcastid.com/.
